During the day, Brendyn works for a small real estate company. By night, with pad, pen, and laptop, he continues his dig under the prison house wall, convinced that there is more to it all than thin pop culture, prime time TV and the 9-5 Compromise.
He has written two novels and over eighty short stories. His work has appeared in Beginnings, The Elmont Herald, Ascent Aspirations, Mindprints, A Literary Journal, This Plate Is Full's Second Course and Tales of the Talisman. He has been a featured performer at ImprovBoston, the Lily Pad, NEWS events, Brother Blue's Open Mic, Out of the Blue Art Gallery, and the Lizard Lounge Monday Night Challenge. A profile by photographer/journalist extraordinaire Jeff Haynes can be found here and his column, The Light Upstairs, can be found at http://dadity.wordpress.com/the-light-upstairs/
Brendyn's influences include Ray Bradbury, Neil Simon, S.E. Hinton, Lord Buckley, Joe Strummer, Rod Serling, Ralph Emerson, Hunter S. Thompson, the earlier works of Stephen King, the struggles of the righteous underdog and of course, his family.
He is currently seeking an agent and can be contacted at brendyn.schneider@hotmail.com
